Impressive post ADR. I'd be hard pressed to find a means to condense my "slightly longer than yours" life into two to four sentences but I do applaud your conclusions. They're fascinating.

I do the same thing (although not in a creepy stalker-ish way, I draw my conclusions extremely quickly). I've come to this question many times myself. I won't rehash, but I believe the question you want to ask is: Who are you?

Last but not least: I commend your spelling ADR. Just one little, little, little, little, little, tiny mistake: "woud" gets the point across but /would/n't it be nice if it was spelled correctly?

haha. Anyway, have fun ADR. I'd like to chat with you sometime. On Steam, Skype, or Aim.

Well, if you went to dark nets, sure, there is no real way to regulate that. However what the government can regulate is the ISP's, which the majority of people get their connection from. Also, how would you propose stopping the ISP's from having a tiered service and throttling? Most big ISPs (Time Warner and AT&T for example) have been pushing hard for the former (luckily with little success thus far) and there has already been examples of the latter happening, particularly with Comcast and Qwest.

There can never be any such thing as too much ambition. And the government can try as much as it wants... the Internet will never be regulated. Impossible. The rest of the people like me around the world will never let it happen.

Outta the Carolina's then? And good luck trying to get the intertubes to "work." With all this proposed teiring from the ISP's and government regulation, I think the good ol' days of the internet are on their way out.

I'd say: very little going towards the nothing spectrum. I'm content with desire, but still willful in terms of achieving goals.

To that end, I can conquer any opposition or any mountain that stands between me. For I am free of the boon and bane of a single mere word.

From what I've read: It doesn't seem like it's all sunshine, peaches, and ... I dunno with you two or with your life ADR.

Just my take on what you've said. -caio.

Sometimes we have to go through hardship before there is a gigantic payoff. Today I walked up 1197ft and 3.7 miles over 2.5 hours, then back down afterwards and it was slightly less time than that. The hike wasn't awful either: there were a lot of nice things on the way, great people we encountered (only one long-term hiker though), and at the end there was the payoff. I will show you the photos tonight or tomorrow =)

What I am saying though is that it may be a long, gigantic uphill climb with a massive, 180 degree, gorgeous payoff at the end. I think you already know that you're going to get "there" at the end of this road, and even though it's going to be a stretch along the way, there's shit to shovel, there may no be no bathrooms for 6 hours, no toothpaste, and enough rocks to make you bruise your left big toe, there'll still be that beautiful payoff waiting for you, at the end of it.

Things are as perfect as they can be right now

You are good. You represent an entire truckload of toothpaste.

What happens? What happens is we keep moving forward. Jumping ahead in the sequence of life seems to be okay, as long as we don't lose sight of what we want and what we need. Life is a multiple choice test. You can skip ahead and answer the sections that you feel the most comfortable about first, but in the end, you still have to do it all, somehow.

You're right, ADR in many ways. But I'd add in a sixth: "Don't allow yourself to ever give up." Too much doubt comes from giving in, and giving up early. If you really want to accomplish something, you have to set more than just your heart on it: you have to get your mind in the right mode of thought that'll keep you pushing for it even if your heart is swayed by changing circumstances.

That I feel would also lead to happiness.

I'll watch you stumble and fall, and be there to help you out if you need someone to root you on.

"Technological Prodigy" It suits you. But man, seriously, you're not a child anymore. Recognize yourself as a man, or at least a young man with a really good technical gift.

"Sort of like an online journal of me and my thoughts in this new era of existence." That sounds badass if you ask me. Grandiose, but awesome none-the-less. So do it! Do it now! Get to the typa!

The idea's expressed in this post are to be considered from a "post-creation" perspective. At this point I am not considering how we got here or what allows us to have enlightened thoughts and ideas. I am primary concerned with the fact that we are all here on this mortal coil and we are capable of these things. We, as a human race, have a responsibility to do something good and worthwhile with that existence.

Some people will find the guidance and ability to live such an existence through one religion or another. Good for them; I applaud their rise to a higher mental and spiritual level. Others still will live an unenlightened and maybe even destructive life via their chosen religion. Even more people (such as myself) will find a way to live an enlightened and self-aware lifestyle while still doing good for the world without prescribing to any sort of specific religious following. My overall belief relating to what I talk about in this post is that the ability to live an enlightened life style is separate from religion, and the ongoing debate of who or what has given us the ability to have life and debates is beyond the necessary scope of such a life.

In this post I used the "American way" as an example but it is by no means only an "American thing." Each and every culture has its own way of doing things and the people of that culture are all impacted by it. That is in-fact the definition of a culture. It is not a bad thing but is simply something a self-aware people has to be aware of. Not only aware of how they are being affected but of what alternatives there are and what is truly their best course for their life.

I have been meaning to post more often. I even have some posts half-written. I guess the verbosity of this comment is a sign that I am in a good state of mind to finish them. We'll see.

So very interesting and attention drawing is your post! Yes, very thought provoking and you ended it will such elegance ...bringing the reader into self-awareness and importance...drawing the reader into becoming more a part of your posts by telling them that they ARE worthy. Nicely done cousin!

I think I'm going to become a follower! RSS feeding it!

In actual response to your post though, I question what your thoughts are in there being an actual God who created you and I to think? I mean, what are your thoughts to where we actually came to be curious thinkers? The Big Bang that randomly created inteligence? I'm not saying what I believe either way (although you know my background). But, I am honestly curious about your thoughts on this as I don't feel I would know what you'd have to say?

You made a very powerful point in suggesting that the majority of people find importance in money, sex and food which I absolutely agree with! It's the American way...which, do you believe our culture is an actual cult itself? Some people may think that by the way the American culture tends to mold a persons desires, beliefs, and morality, that it's become cult-like?

You have englightened me Andrew...really made me think this morning, thank you for your insightfulness and I'm curious as to your responses. oh, and this is the first time I've vistited your site! Nice work!

its not that we are afraid or even uncertain about moving on with life. it is just that there is a sequence to this whole existence that somehow has been accepted as the universal order of things. how this has happened, is another debate.

scifi and fantasy writers throughout history have postulated several alternatives that would be preferable.
