Well, if you went to dark nets, sure, there is no real way to regulate that. However what the government can regulate is the ISP’s, which the majority of people get their connection from. Also, how would you propose stopping the ISP’s from having a tiered service and throttling? Most big ISPs (Time Warner and AT&T for example) have been pushing hard for the former (luckily with little success thus far) and there has already been examples of the latter happening, particularly with Comcast and Qwest.

There can never be any such thing as too much ambition. And the government can try as much as it wants… the Internet will never be regulated. Impossible. The rest of the people like me around the world will never let it happen.

Outta the Carolina’s then? And good luck trying to get the intertubes to “work.” With all this proposed teiring from the ISP’s and government regulation, I think the good ol’ days of the internet are on their way out.
